The Danish label/imprint arbitrary presents the third evening of a new series of events in KoncertKirken, Copenhagen (DK) with an unusual concert format, combining live performances with a collective listening session.
The concert will feature a live performance by Andrew Pekler, who works with techniques of digital sampling and analog synthesis to recontextualize found sounds and archival musical materials. His latest work, “Tristes Tropiques” is an album of synthetic exotica, pseudo-ethnographic music and unreal field recordings. Andrew Pekler has composed music for theater, dance and film, produced video and sound installations and played concerts and festivals in Europe, North and South America, East Asia and Australia.

The concert series is organized by the Danish label/imprint arbitrary. Established by musician Mads Emil Nielsen in 2014, arbitrary has published graphic scores (Framework) and illustrations, audio and music on various formats (vinyl, CD) as well as a collection of experimental mixtapes and audio collages (arbitrary assemblage series) with contributions from German, American and Russian artists.

Selections from arbitrary’s mix / assemblage series will be installed before and after the concerts.
Live + Listening Room #3 is presented in collaboration with Goethe-Institut Dänemark and the G((o))ng Tomorrow festival (formerly Wundergrund).
